Monday:
Red Ribbon Week is a week that stresses the importance for you to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Learning to say NO to these things now will positively impact your future in a lot of ways. Today is crazy hair/sock/hat day to remind you to “Use your head, don’t do drugs”. When someone tries to pressure you into trying drugs or alcohol, or tries to get you to join them in bullying another person, use your head. Be prepared to say no, even if they are your friend. Tuesday: Red Ribbon Week is a week that stresses the importance for you to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Today is Nerd/Mismatch day to remind you you are “Too SMART to Start”. It is important to your future that you learn what drugs are and how to say no to them. As a 3rd grader pointed out yesterday, even medication prescribed by a doctor is an illegal drug if the doctor didn’t prescribe it for you. Wednesday: Red Ribbon Week is a week that stresses the importance for you to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Today is Hero day to remind you to “Be a hero, not a zero - stay drug free!” Stand up for what is right, and be a good example for other people around you. And remember, anyone can be a hero - you don't have to wear a costume and a cape to do the right thing! |
Thursday:
Red Ribbon Week is a week that stresses the importance for you to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Today is Twin/Sports Team/School Spirit day so that we can team up against drugs! It is always easier to say no to drugs, alcohol, or bullying if you surround yourself with people that support you and will encourage you. Friday: Red Ribbon Week is a week that stresses the importance for you to steer clear of drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Today is pajama day so that we can remember it's never too early to say no to drugs! A lot of times it will be someone close to you that will offer you drugs or alcohol for the first time. You have to be prepared to tell your friends or family NO when that day comes. |
